GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – In this week’s edition of Florida Man Adventures, our host, TV20’s Adam Pittman, shows us how one family in Bronson has been raising livestock for over a century. Pittman details his adventure at T.J. Harper Farm.

On this installment of Florida Man Adventures, we are here in Bronson at T.J. Harper Farm, where we will be doing some agritourism.

After opening their beef shop, the Harper family farm’s popularity has been on the rise. People come from all over to learn about how the farm works and what it takes to keep it running.

“And so you go and look at each of those herds and talk a little bit about the cow business, and we will also ride and look at the watermelon fields. Right now we are breaking for watermelon, which we will plan in February, so we are really getting going in that season now as well.”

We walk the fields and learn about how the herds are fed, kept healthy, and moved around the farm. In the watermelon fields, we see how the ground is prepped for the upcoming planting. Digging into the agricultural and livestock sides of the farm gives you an understanding of what goes into farming.
